Elisabeth Marier

Elisabeth Marier

Nationality
  • Canadian
Known for her sculptures that play on the notion of precarious balance and for her contribution to professional training in arts and crafts and glass in Quebec, Élisabeth Marier moved to New Brunswick in 2007. The work Maisonnettes or Vue sur Maisonnette comes from her view of Caraquet while collaborating on the establishment of the artist-run center La Constellation Bleue. In 2018, an exhibition with audio support honors her work from the 80's at the Mudac, in Switzerland, while she presents Le temps noué, a solo at Galerie Bernard-Jean in Caraquet. Sponsor of the 2020 edition of the Festival des Arts Visuels en Atlantique, the show documents the progression of her process.
