Tim Hogan grew up immersed in Aboriginal and European cultures. After a military career, he studied visual arts at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design, where he worked with materials including birch bark and quills that are significant in Indigenous culture. He was recently artist-in-residence at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery.
