Yvon Gallant (b.1950) was among the first visual arts graduates of Université de Moncton. After working and painting in Montreal, he returned to New Brunswick where his prodigious output has resulted in numerous acquisitions in regional collections. The environment, history, family lore, and community are important influences in his art.
