Cindy Narvey learned traditional Aboriginal crafts including beadwork, rattle and drum making, and medicinal soapmaking from elders and others in her community at Kingsclear. She learned to paint with art teacher Catherine Karnes Munn. Her artwork focuses on paintings of animals, birds, and Maliseet traditions such as the sweat lodge ceremony.
