Hendrik Gringhuis (b.1955), a self-taught artist raised in the Netherlands, moved to Upper Gagetown in 2001. From there he continues to create landscapes based partly on the evocative Dutch countryside and also influenced by fanciful Canadian landscape traditions. He paints full-time, selling his work at the Fredericton Farmers Market.
