Jack Bishop is from Quispamsis, and now lives and works in Halifax (Kjipuktuk). He received a BFA from NSCAD University in 2007 with a major in Fine Art and a Minor in Drawing. Jack has been a recipient of “Emerging artist of the year” from ArtsNB, as well as receiving creation grants from Arts NB, Arts NS, and the Canada Council for the Arts. His artwork has been featured in The National Post, Visual Arts News, the Chronicle Herald, The Telegraph Journal, in photo essays on CBC.ca, and most recently on TV on the CBC Arts program Exhibitionists

For non-jury programs:

Typically for completed applications, applicants will be notified of their results by email within 7 weeks from the deadline date.

For jury programs:

Typically for completed applications, applicants will be notified of their results by email within 11 weeks from the deadline date.

Note: Incomplete or late applications may delay results and/or not be accepted.

If your project is no longer taking place, it’s critical that you contact the program officer as soon as possible to notify us. Depending on the situation, we can advise you of next steps. To proceed with withdrawing the project, you will need to send a cheque for the grant amount made payable to “Minister of Finance” no later than March 1. Indicate on the cheque memo or attach a letter for what program the amount is for and mail to:
