Sylvie Pilotte lives in northern New Brunswick where she enjoys a constantly evolving practice as a visual artist. Drawing on her Bachelor's degree in Education and her graphic design studies in Quebec, her home province, she uses collage technique to incorporate signifiers and symbolic elements into works that primarily deal with social issues. Many of Sylvie's projects have received support from the Canada Council for the Arts and the New Brunswick Arts Board, such as her inaugural solo exhibition that toured New Brunswick and a project to create hybrid, installation-oriented sculptural works, which coincided with her interest in installation and digital creation.
