Rosemary earned her Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees from Dalhousie University and the University of King’s College. Then, while raising four teenage sons, she returned to study at NSCAD, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. As an artist, she worked with many visual mediums and art-forms.

She worked as an instructor in the Continuing Education Department at NSCAD and at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia. She served on the executive of Canadian Artists’ Representation / Le Front des Artistes Canadiens (CARFAC) Maritimes, co-chaired the NS Printmakers Association, and the NS Women Artists’ Network. She was a member of Visual Arts NS and facilitator for Tantramar Seniors’ College.

Rosemary exhibited in numerous group art shows and screenings and mounted several solo exhibitions across Atlantic Canada and nationally. She also illustrated a number of children’s books, including Jellyfish Seadragons and Fries on the Side. Her art work is part of the collections of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, collectionArtNB, and the National Gallery of Canada.
