“Et in arcadia ego“ is a phrase appearing on tombs in several Poussin paintings and the phrase is subsequently used in other literature (Cormac McCarthy). It refers to mortality in the idyllic landscape: all living things must die.  

  The print uses the etched outline of a bear filled with colour images of trees. Broadly in arcadia considers meaning or narrative as we (humans) project it on to landscapes or other animals.
