Amy Ash (they/she) is a queer interdisciplinary artist engaged with connectivity, collective care, emergence, and shared meaning-making. Their practice flows from curatorial projects and writing to teaching, socially engaged action, and hands-on making. Amy has worked internationally, with projects commissioned by the National Gallery London (UK), Platform Centre for Photographic and Digital Arts (Can), and Third Space Gallery (Can), among others. A member of the International Association of Art Critics, Amy is active within arts criticism, approaching it as a love-letter-writing practice dedicated to artists, artwork, and initiatives that move, inspire, and disrupt. Of settler ancestry, they live in Menahqesk/Saint John, which sits on unceded and unsurrendered lands that have been stewarded by the Wolastoqiyik, Peskotomuhkati, and Mi’kmaq Peoples since the very beginning.
