Paul Mathieson is a New Brunswick artist known for paintings that explore the human condition and ask big questions about the world. He looks closely at everyday life and uses those observations to create powerful images that feel both modern and thought‑provoking. Paul taught in the public school system for more than thirty years, inspiring generations of students, and continues to work with youth and community groups. In 2015, he received the Strathbutler Award for his important contribution to the arts. His paintings are now part of public and private collections in Canada and around the world.
